Deck / Fence Staining
The outdoors is where we get to enjoy time with family, friends, and neighbors creating special moments. Staining your deck or fence can enhance appearance, protect from UV rays, water protection, preservation of structural integrity, and wood rot. Those are some of the many reasons for protecting and extending the lifespan of your deck or fence.
Depending on the condition of the wood, we can decide between different types of stains and use the most suitable for your project, always following manufacturer’s recommendations. Once the products are selected, you will be able to choose from the product’s color palette.
We start moving out furniture, plants, and other objects to proceed with pressure washing the deck or fence with a mixture of water and mild detergent.
Replace any rotted boards.
Sand any rough patches and splinters or uneven areas on the deck,
helping to create a smooth surface.
Protect areas that should not be stained such as siding, brick, bushes, doors, screens, and any other components that are excluded using plastic, paper, or drop cloths.
Once all surfaces are prepared, the staining process can begin. We spray the stain and back brush for stain to penetrate wood grains and get an even finish, repeating this process at least two times.
After letting the stain dry, we proceed to remove any plastic, paper, or
drop cloth from the surrounding areas, and put furniture back in place.
